The ATC Approval Office must make the decision as to whether you meet the ATC requirements based on the information you provided on your Part I online training application. We look at each ATC course you request and decide if your degree and/or work experience qualify you to teach it for ATC credit. When evaluating your credentials, ATC looks to see how they relate to the colleges course(s) equivalent to that ATC course. Secondary teacher qualifications must meet the qualifications of college faculty to teach these courses. Because of this, you may not qualify to teach some ATC versions of courses that you normally teach in high school.
However, it is possible that the ATC office may have overlooked something on your application or that you forgot to include information on your degree or work experience. In that case, we ask that you please fill out the Reconsideration of Approval form. (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)
