ATC Approvals Frequently Asked Questions

2.    I think that I meet the requirements, but I wasn't ATC approved.

The ATC Approval Office must make the decision as to whether you meet the ATC requirements based on the information you provided on your application.  We look at each ATC course you request and decide if your degree and/or work experience qualify you to teach it.  When we evaluate your credentials, we look to see how they relate to the colleges course(s) equivalent to that ATC course.  Because of this, you may not qualify to teach some ATC versions of courses that you normally teach in high school.

However, it is possible that we may have overlooked something on your application or that you forgot to include information on your degree or work experience.  In that case, we ask that you please fill out the Reconsideration of Approval form. (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)
